(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Rachel Goldberg shared that on Saturday morning she received a last text from her son, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, which simply stated, “I love you” and “I’m sorry.” Goldberg revealed that she believes her son was one of the civilians that Hamas, a terrorist group in control of the Gaza Strip, took as hostages following their multiple assaults against Israel on Saturday.
On Saturday, the group managed to infiltrate many communities in Israel that border the Gaza Strip and attacked a music festival with hundreds of attendees. It is currently estimated that at least 260 of the attendees were killed immediately.
As Goldberg shared, when she received those messages, she was sure that her son had ended up in a terrible situation and wanted her to know that he loved her and that he was sorry about the pain she would feel after finding out what happened to him.
Goldberg, who has dual Israeli-United States citizenship, spoke to reporters in Israel along with five other dual citizens, calling for President Biden and the government of Israel to take action for the hostages to be released.
It is not yet clear exactly how many people have been kidnapped, but the number is likely to be above 100. The Biden administration has revealed that they assume that there are some Americans within that group, but a specific number has not yet been confirmed.
The five citizens have stated that they are in contact with at least 10 families of other dual citizens who believe that their loved ones have been taken hostage in Gaza.
