(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – In a statement to Fox News Digital, special prosecutors Jason Lewis and Kari Morrissey confirmed that, according to recent facts, it is believed that actor Alec Baldwin might face additional criminal charges in connection to the shooting in the movie set for “Rust” in 2021. As the prosecutors noted following the investigation, it is now believed that Baldwin might be criminally culpable for the shooting of Joel Souza and the death of Halyna Hutchins.
They further noted that they consider it correct for a panel of New Mexico citizens to be called to determine whether or not there should be a criminal trial for Baldwin.
Quinn Emanuel’s Alex Spiro and Luke Nikas, who are serving as Baldwin’s lawyers, responded to the statement given to Fox News Digital, stating that it was unfortunate how this “terrible tragedy” had been converted to a “misguided prosecution.” They further added that they were going to address these charges in court.
In the next couple of months, Lewis and Morrissey are planning on presenting their case in front of a grand jury, which will then determine if Baldwin should be bound on criminal charges.
In January, Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter. The charges had been filed a year after the death of Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer, on the set of Baldwin’s Western film. Baldwin was also one of the film’s producers.
After the charges against him were dismissed, a special prosecutor cited that any future investigation and forensic analysis would not have been done prior to the May preliminary hearing.
