(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is one of the 2024 Republican presidential candidates, discussed in a recent appearance on ‘Your World with Neil Cavuto the new charges filed against former President Donald Trump in connection to his alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House in 2021.

On Friday, he blasted Trump, who continues to be the frontrunner in the 2024 Republican primary race. Christie, who qualified for the first primary debate on Aug. 23, argued that it was unprecedented to have someone who has been indicted as the party’s nominee.

Trump might also be indicted a third time in connection to his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack; this case is being investigated by special counsel Jack Smith.

Christie, during the interview with Neil Cavuto, argued that it was important for voters to start considering what it means that they are going to have a presidential candidate who, by the first primary debate, is going to be out on bail in two, if not three, different indictments. He then questioned how it could be possible to win against the Democrats with a candidate who is out on bail.

Trump has denied all wrongdoing in every single one of the cases and recently said that Special Counsel Jack Smith was “deranged” and that he is just acting as the puppet of President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland.

On Friday, Christie noted that Trump could face even more charges from Smith. Smith filed a superseding indictment against Trump a day before Christie’s statement, which included additional charges that Trump would face.
